As previously mentioned Microsoft Exchange is a brilliant mail service for an affordable price. But if you need to use the domain for other things than just the email, you will have to configure the DNS yourself.
We recommend using DigitalOcean’s DNS which is free and easy to setup.
In this article, we will guide you through how to set it up.
Navigate to https://admin.microsoft.com/ and select Show All. Select Settings and then Domains and Add new.
Enter your domain name and click Use this domain.
Select Add a TXT record to the domain’s DNS records and Continue.
Go to your DigitalOcean dashboard and select Network, you will then be directed to the dashboard of your domains. If you haven’t already added the domain, enter the domain name and click Add Domain otherwise select the domain.
Now select TXT in the tab bar and enter the credentials that were provided by Microsoft.
Now go back to Microsoft and Verify your domain. It might take a few minutes for it to detect your changes.
Click More options and select Add your own DNS records
Now add MX Records, CNAME Records, and TXT Records as you added the TXT verification string.
Your DNS is not configured and you can assign it to your Exchange user.
